Money troubles

Would you believe it, the very first time someone tried to sponsor us, the 'Virgin Giving' page failed.  We still aren't sure why, but maybe the person doing the giving has to be a virgin.  You know, I don't think Im going to follow that line of discussion...

Anyway,  we have a shiny NEW page now, courtesy of JustGiving - a site I know to work rather well, having used it to collect a few shekels for Action for Children a couple of years ago.  But now its Oxfam's turn. The challenge i s harder, there's four of us raring to go, and no - if we fail, I'm afraid you don't get your cash back - so you'd best wish us all possible luck then!

Please Click the donate link and help us on our way!

The long march

So this blog is for the members of "Grumbler's Stumblers" to share some of their experiences, so ties, photos of training for and actually undertaking the Oxfam Trailtrekker 100km Challenge in 2012.

The first challenge has been to get a team together and registered. We've done that, and we have a fledgeling fundraising page.

We've all started our training in one way or another.  Our goal is quite simple - to get round the 100km in the 30 hours allowed for it.

Just to kick things off, here are a couple of pictures taken during Grumbler's 14 mile training walk on January 8th this year.

The Dew Drop Inn.  Lovely pub, in the middle of nowhere.  Also known as Burchett's Green.
